I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in Me and I in him bears much (abundant) fruit. However, apart from Me [cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing. John 15:5 AMPH
While in our back yard watering our tomato plants, I noticed buds, blossoms, small beginning fruit, growing fruit, and mature fruit. As I looked at these plants, God began to impress on me some things regarding our walk with the Lord.
As you and I serve God and stay connected to Him through prayer, Bible study, and fellowship we begin to produce fruit. I know that in a young plant you only see the first stages of fruit production, but there is fruit being created, and that fruit is pleasing to our God. We are in a continual process of growth and production. God is never content with a branch that doesn’t produce fruit. Given enough time the branch will produce fruit or it will be pruned.
When the first buds begin to appear and then the blossom, the flower is fertilized by stimuli around it. Wind blows (like the Spirit) and the pollen falls into the flower to produce fruit. Man times a bee will come along and in the process of collecting nectar it pollinates the plant. Much like you or I when we come along side a Christian to help in their walk with God, we are pollinating the blossom of possibility with the power of the Spirit, the love of the Holy Ghost, and the fellowship of the saints to bring fruit into the life of another believer.
Oh how wonderful when a saint of God is producing fruit. Like the aroma of a ripe, freshly sliced tomato causes our mouths to salivate, the fruit of the Spirit in our life along with our salt will cause a hunger in those around us for knowledge of God.

Rejoice that God is bringing fruit to maturity in your life.
